Most of my career has been spent working for Gloucestershire Music where I held several roles.  Having recently become freelance I am available to book directly.  Please e-mail or ‘phone.

My first role with Gloucestershire Music was as a Woodwind peripatetic teacher.  Travelling between many school to teach saxophone, flute and clarinet to small groups of pupils.   I have the CTABRSM and a Diploma in Primary Music Education.

 A large part of my 10 years working for Gloucestershire Music was spent delivering classroom lessons.  In some cases being based in a school for 12 months, teaching National Curriculum lessons to the whole school (KS1 +2).  Where I also covered the woodwind tuition this lead to my being seen by the children as ‘the music lady’. 

From time to time staff want a ‘boost’ in a particular areas—such as singing or working with tuned percussion.  I will then go into school for a single, or short run of lessons.  This has two benefits.  A new face and fresh approach for the children and some informal staff training for the school staff.
